Pierce, Emili, and Charlie came from Colorado to stay with us for Christmas. I think they brought the cold weather with them.
Christmas morning we had a big breakfast and Robbie, Aaron, and Cole came over and opened presents. This kids played all day, while I cooked, cleaned and ate.
Having a kid makes Christmas morning so much more fun.

Hair Cut

Emili cut Paige's hair. She looks so adorable. She does not look like a homeless child anymore.
This was her fist real hair cut. I trimmed her hair when she was about a year and a half. She had a mullet so I cut the back of her hair so the front of her hair could catch up. Emili did a much better job. Thanks Em.

My parents came for a week and a half and my sisters family came to visit for a few days.

I wish they lived closer so we could see each other whenever we wanted.

The first day my sisters family was here we went to Cowboy Christmas and then went to Chucke Cheese and ate dinner with my Grandma, Dave and my Aunts family. Chucke Cheese was chaos, but the kids had lots of fun.

The next day we had a big dinner/lunch. Nathen pitted meat, which was delicious. He starts the fire the night before and then puts the meat in the pit early in the morning. My mom and sister helped make side dishes. I enjoyed making food and visiting. My sister and I attempted to make a ginger bread house for the kids to decorate. We were laughing so hard because our house kept collapsing. We thought we finally had a house that would stay together, but when the kids decorated the house the roof feel in. I guess we are not builders. Oh well, I had lots of fun trying.

Later that day the kids opened their Christmas presents since we will not see them on Christmas.

We went to Burke and Kara's for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. We ate lots of yummy food and played fun games. Thanks Kara you did an amazing job.
I was surprised how cold the weather was in Cedar. When we got there Wednesday night it was 0 degrees. I stayed in the house the entire time.

Paige does not do well when we sleep somewhere away from home. She did not sleep at all. Thus we did not sleep either. We need to take her more places. We have turned into home bodies since we had her. We use to go somewhere almost every weekend.

Four Wheelers

We bought back our old 400EX four wheeler and another 400ex. Nathen is over at Josh's motocross track all of the time and I wanted something to ride over and visit him on and I missed riding. I also want Paige exposed to four wheelers. She loves riding on the four wheelers.
Paige was so cute when we bought her a helmet. We had her try on a few helmets and she liked this one. She said, "it looks so cute we have to buy it." She cracks me up.

We took Paige to trunk or treat at the fair grounds. She looked so cute in her lady bug costume. I am not really a fan of trunk or treat, but Paige liked getting candy and I figured trunk or treat was easier than going door to door. We let her eat as much candy as she wanted and we paid for that later. She had the biggest meltdown I have ever seen.

My parents stayed with us for two weeks. Then after they left Nathen's parents staid with us for a week. While Nathen's parents were here Jake stayed a few nights. Jake was so good with Paige. She loves him. I wish I would have taken some pictures.

I enjoyed having both of our parents. Both moms' helped so much with Paige. I could work in the morning with out having to take care of Paige first. They would bathe and dress and feed her.

Life would be so much easier if our parents lived closer. It does take a village to raise a child.

Sandy Valley Motocross Track

Codey, Brandon (a neighbor kid of Codey's), Nathen, Paige and I went out to Sandy Valley so the boys could ride their motorcycles on the track.
There is a windy road with lots of dips on the way to the track. Paige kept saying faster and again and she would giggle and then I would laugh watching her.
As soon as the boys unloaded their bikes, it started pouring rain for about ten minutes. The track was a muddy mess. A little rain did not stop them. They were a muddy mess along with the inside of the truck.
Paige had so much fun. She was running through the puddles laughing. Also, Codey took her for a ride on his bike. Codey said she was laughing and saying woo whoooo.

Girls Only Cabin Trip

Pam, Genie and Palynn invited Paige and me to go to Panquitch Lake for a couple of days.
We stayed at Frosty (Nathen's uncle)and Mindy's cabin. The view was amazing and the weather was a nice change.

4th of July Weekend

Over the 4th of July weekend we went to visit my sister and her family. My parents met us there.
Paige took a while to warm up, which Jacob (he is so sweet) could not handle he just wanted to play with her. Once she warmed up Paige loved playing with her cousins which was also nice for me because I could visit with my family. I wished we lived close to each other.
While we were there we took Colby and JP's boat out to the reservoir. The water was too cold for me or Nathen to swim. We are use to 110 degree weather. I still had lots of fun hanging out in the boat and on the beach.

Taking pictures of three two year old kids(Paige not quite two) was chaos.
After a while, Paige did not want to sit next to the boys or hold their hands. She would start crying. She did fine by herself.

Our 10 year anniversary was May 13th and we went to Kauai, HI.

I had so much fun. It was so beautiful there.

The view was amazing. There is a mountain on the island that gets 450inches of rain a year. There were waterfalls running everywhere off of that mountain. It was so beautiful.

We went on a dunebuggie ride to a waterfall where we went swimming. I thought the boys would be bored (they like more extreme riding), but they had fun. We were so dirty.
We also went kayaking, hiking, zip lining(which was not the adrenalin rush I thought it would be), to a luau and had our own BBQ on the beach. We were really busy I wish we would of had one more day to lay on the beach and do nothing.

We missed Paige so much. I wish we could have taken her and someone to watch her while we went on all of the activities.

She has been so kissy lately. I love kisses!

She started saying please, in this cute little voice while she turns her head to the side, when she wants something. She says it so cute I cannot say no to her. We are in trouble.

She has to snuggle with someone to fall asleep. While snuggling her I use to think of all the things I should or could be doing but, now I just enjoy snuggling her. Soon she will be to big to snuggle her mom. I wish I could slow down time.

Clark County Fair

I went to the good old Clark County Fair on three days. It is the same old every year. This year I enjoyed watching Paige's reaction to the animals and people. She did not want to leave when it was time to go home. She would so, "no, bye, bye!"
I ate lots of unhealthy food. I had a fried snickers which was delicious.
Robbie had to work (this is why I went three days) for the county at the fair. I had Cole at my house all day why she worked on Thursday and having both kids was total CHAOS! They were wild. I think they emptied out every drawer and cupboard in my house. They had a few wresting punching matches while I was on the phone for work.
They soiled my tile. Here is the story of what happened. I gave them a bath because they both enjoy being in the water. Then Paige wanted out and Cole did not so I got her out and could not go get a diaper because I could not leave Cole alone in the bathtub. So I let her run around naked and she pooped on the tile floor. Then I got Cole out and and he started peeing stopped looked down and then peed so more on the tile floor.
Then I started cleaning up my house (there was no way I was leaving my house in this disastrous state) so I could meet Robbie at the fair grounds and while I was in the other room the two of them got into all of my office supplies. Paige had paper clips everywhere and Cole found a permanent marker which he used to color my nightstand.
I cannot imaging having twins. Usually, having both of them is easy because I can work while they play. Not this time.

Easter

On Easter Robbie, Cole, Aaron, Paige and I decorated rice crispy treats in the shape of eggs. It was Robbie's idea. I am going to make this a tradition. I do not like the mess of coloring eggs. Dye all over the hands and everywhere and who wants to eat the eggs after they have been outside. Also, rice crispy treats are so much yummier to eat.
The kids did more eating than decorating.

The Staff at the Moapa Community Center put on an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Paige got a lot of plastic eggs. I thought she would pick up only one egg, but she just kept putting eggs in her bucket. She enjoyed eating the candy out of the eggs. She kept saying, "more candy."
Activities like this makes me enjoy living in Moapa.

Nathen and I were watching TV and Paige was being very quiet Nathen went to investigate and he says to me, "come look at your daughter." This is what I found.

I had just put on her pajamas. I had to put her in the shower scrub her and redress her.

It was both disgusting and hilarious at the same time. Oh, the many joys of being a mom!

I have been setting her on the toilet occasionally to see if she will go potty on the toilet. I guess she had to go potty. The problem was that she still had her clothes on and Nathen left the toilet seat up.

I cannot believe how fast time is going. Paige is 19 months already.
She is such a sweet girl. She is very generous with her kisses and hugs.
She is talking a lot, but usually only around people she sees frequently. She is still shy.
She is going to be bossy like her mother. She is always bossing Cole around. She says, "Cole no" when ever he is doing something he is not suppose to and she also says, "Cole cmere " (cmere is come here) when she wants him to come to her or do something with her.

Enjoying the month of February

This post consists of a bunch of random thoughts I had this morning.
The weather this month has been so nice. I have enjoyed being outside every day. This time of year makes me appreciate living in the desert. I always say I want to live somewhere green and pretty, but I do not think I would like the snow.
Cole got a trampoline as an early Birthday present and we love going outside and jumping. Nathen and Aaron dug a hole, so that the trampoline is flush with the ground. This is nice the kids can just run onto the trampoline.
We have been doing yard work, which is long over due. We got some sand for beach volleyball. We just need to get the net put up and then I need some people to come play with me.
I am playing on a volleyball league. Our first game was last Tuesday. We had a double header and lost both games. I still enjoyed playing even if we did not win.
Nathen is playing flag football. His first game is Thursday. He had practice last Thursday and Paige and I went with him and played at the park and walked around the baseball field. I like having activities in the evening that get me out of the house.
I had quite the day between a Bee and a Bird. A bee bit me yesterday. I have not been bitten by a bee since I was a little kid. I forgot how much a bee bite hurts. Nathen told me to suck it up and I was not even dramatic. It bit me I pulled out the stinger and said, "a bee just bit me." Then later I said it is burning.
Then later that night a bird was in the house and I do not like birds. I opened the outside doors in hopes the bird would fly outside, but it just keep flying around my house. It even pooped in my house. Nathen was not home so I was holding Paige trying to shut all the doors in the house so that the bird did not go into the bedrooms, bathroom, or laundry room. While I was running around the house the bird was frantically flying around. I would yell when it came at me. I think Paige was a little traumatized by her mothers reaction to the bird. When Nathen got home I told her to tell Daddy about the bird. She told him a story for about 20min. She kept pointing to the ceiling and saying bird, momma and other stuff we could not understand. She was cracking me up.

Phoenix Trip

We went to Phoenix, AZ last weekend to visit friends and watch Josh race.

Evan, Andrea, Kelsie, and Payson were visiting from Indiana. We enjoyed spending time with them. Their kids are so cute. Payson is such a happy baby. I wished they lived closer.

Andrea gave me some good parenting ideas for when Paige is older. Thanks for the fun weekend!

Here are some of the animals we saw at the zoo.

Most of the animals were napping. I think we went at the wrong time of day.

We rode the carousel. Paige was not that impressed. She kept saying "hold you." That is what she says when she wants me to hold her.

We went to eat at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

That's a big bite. Paige enjoyed her pasta.

Sunday we watched Josh race. He did really good. He got second place. His race was two hours long. I cannot imagine riding a four wheeler as hard as you can for two hours. Josh is in such good shape that when he was finished he did not even act like he was tired. Other riders were so exhausted after the race.

Paige did really good in the truck on the way there and home. On the way home she wanted out after we went through Las Vegas. She kept saying "out."

Motocross Track

Nathen has been helping his friend Josh build a Motocross Track every weekend for the last month. I am so glad they are done, but now he is going to want to ride his dirt bike every weekend. His addiction never ends!!! No I am glad he has something he enjoys.

Paige loves to ride in the bobcat with Nathen. When she has to get off she starts to cry.
I use to love riding with my Dad on his Bobcat. His Bobcat had a place on the back that I could sit behind him. Then when I was older I liked to operate the bobcat. I use to help my Dad build house pads and clean out the horse pens.

Christmas weekend

Emili, Jake and Pierce came for Christmas. It was nice to see them. I enjoyed having everyone together. We played games and ate all weekend.
We had breakfast at our house with all of Nathen's family Christmas morning. Robbie, Nathen, and I made almost every breakfast food you can think of. My favorite was chocolate chip pancakes. Ashley's mom use to make them for us when I was in middle school. I hardly ever eat pancakes because they are not very healthy. I think I am going to have them every Christmas morning. So yummy. I do not think Nathen was that impressed, but he does not like eggs or pancakes. So his vote does not count.

Robbie and Aaron got a bike cart for Cole for Christmas. Aaron had to pull these two around for a while. He got his work out. They both love this thing. I need to get one so I can get in shape.

Nathen, Prentice, and Wes were trying to load this little Bull in a trailer. They did not succeed. This Bull was crazy. It was charging them and ramming the fence. I was laughing so hard until it broke through the fence and came charging to where I was standing. I ran fast to the truck. Then the bull tried to get through the fence into a pasture and that did not work so then it ran away. I still laugh looking at the pictures.

Paige use to climb in my dryer, but know she helps me pull all the clothes out. She also loves to put things in the washer and the garbage. I have to watch her. I hope she does not through away anything important.

My parents came to visit and while they were here they watched Paige one night and Nathen and I went to Codey and Priscila's company Christmas party. No, we are not their employees, but I am glad we were invited. I had so much fun.

A few nights later we went to dinner with my Parents, Grandma, Dave and my Aunt Rin's family. I did not take any pictures.

I wish my parents did not live so far away. I love hanging out with my parents.

I also had lots of good times at Monica's house. We had a play date, a bake day, and a tamale making day. Here is a picture of the kids at the play date.

We went to Payton(Nathen's uncle) and Pam's house for Thanksgiving. It was a beautiful day. I had a good time. The kids played and we ate a lot. The only bad part was that Paige was sick.

Fun Weekend

I am way behind on my blog. I will start with a fun weekend I had with friends.
Michael, Kara, Priscila and I played games while the boys went to Clint and Kaili's house to watch UFC.
Then the next night a bunch of us girls went and watched Twilight. I liked the movie, but I am not a crazed fan like a lot of women I know.

Thinking about Paige marring someone she grows up with reminded me of when I was in elementary school and Nathen rubbed cockle burs in my hair and his mother and Lana Pulsipher spent hours picking them out. He was not very nice. Anyone who knows what a cockle burr is knows they are nasty little things. Why did I marry him?? Oh ya cause I loved him and he is so cute!

Hilarious Book

I just read this book by Chelsea Handler. It is hilarious. I love her show Chelsea Lately.

I usually do not laugh out loud while reading. I was laughing so hard. I had to put the book down once because I was laughing so hard. That is not me. I usually just smile when I am reading something funny.

Paige was such a good girl while I was reading. She was sitting next me acting like she was reading her book and she would laugh every time I laughed. And then she feel asleep and I stayed up way too late reading. I could not put the book down.

Now I want to read her fist book and I am excited for her new book that comes out next year.

We took Paige to the fairgrounds for trunk or treat. She was so cute walking around with her basket.

Paige was so hyper Halloween night. She was running around the house laughing and squealing. She was sooooo cute. She usually does not have very much sugar.

She does not like chocolate. Every time I gave her something with chocolate she would spit it out. She is not my child I love chocolate.

Earlier in the day we went over to Shane and Rachel's house (which is gorgeous) to visit with Burke and Kara. I enjoy their family. They are such a fun family to be around. Brittney makes me laugh (which made me miss all the fun times we had at Britney's house in Las Vegas), Kara's mom is a sweet heart, and Rachael is such a good person.

Being around their family makes me miss mine.

Cole was not a scarecrow for Halloween because he pulled all the straw off of his costume. He did not like his scarecrow costume.

Irritated by animals today

I went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. While sitting outside Paige said "dog." I looked up and I noticed the neighbors dogs were in Robbie and Aarons garbage. Paige and I yelled at them and they went home. Robbie is not going to be happy when she gets home from work.

Then while sitting on my outdoor furniture I smelled cat pee. I have a sensitive nose and cat pee grosses me out. All I wanted to do was sit on my furniture and relax. I guess I need to get some furniture covers. I do not know where I am going to find them since Nathen built my furniture and they are over sized.

Also the birds love our back porch and I have to clean up bird poop regularly.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the animals, especially the birds, without hurting them?

The older I get the less I like animals. I loved them when I was a kid, but now they annoy and gross me out.

She demolished her cake. She was laughing and throwing cake every where.

She is so precious. I cannot imagine my life without her. I am so glad she is in our lives.

Being pregnant seemed like forever, but this year with her went by way too fast. I want to slow down time.

Paige and I went to my Parents house for a few days. Susie Weber drove up and back with us. I am so glad she could go because I was worried about going so far alone with Paige and I enjoyed having the company. Paige did really good on the long drive.
My sister and her kids were there. We went swimming and they rode their horses a lot. We were so busy. The time went too fast and I felt like I did not get to spend enough time with my Mom and Dad.
The girls had a junior rodeo this weekend in Wells. I stopped and watched them on my way home yesterday. I was impressed. They are such good hands. Mckenzie is roping really well and she is only ten years old. They are growing up so fast.
I wish they did not live so far away. Seeing my family makes me miss them more.

Weekend in Cedar

We went to Burke and Kara's house in Cedar City the weekend of the 24th of July. I always enjoy going to their house.
Their kids are adorable. Paige loved playing with them and we had lots of fun hanging out and playing games.
The weather was beautiful. I had a hard time coming home to the heat. I do not know why we live in the hot ugly desert.

I love the TV Show Chelsea Lately on E. I was really excited when we got tickets to Chelsea Handler's show at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. This was the first time we left Paige for more than a couple of hours. Thank you again Robbie for watching her.
I really enjoyed my night out with Nathen, Priscila, and Codey. But, I was not too impressed with Chelsea's stand up comedy. She is so funny on her TV show. I have fun with the Rowleys' not matter what we are doing. I love the two of you and I also love you Mr. Bundy.

I love to take baths. One of my favorite things to do is to read in the bath tub with a yummy snack. Since Paige that is not an option. However, we take lots of baths together. The other day Paige and I took a bubble bath. Nathen was sleeping, because he was working nights, and I was bored and trying to entertain Paige so that she would not wake Nathen up. Trip to Reno

In April Nathen, Paige and I went to Reno to visit my sister and go to one of Josh's four wheeler races. Paige did so good in her car seat. I was woried becasue it is such a long drive.
My sister lives in Lovelock, but she was on Reno for the Junior Livestock show. My niece Mckenzie was showing a pig. She did really good. I did not get any pictures of her and her pig. I did get some of Jacob, Cassidy, Paige and Nathen while we were siting in the bleachers. Paige thought she was a big girl sitting with the kids.
I get sad when I see my nieces and nephew because I miss out on so much. I wish they lived closer and I wish that I got to see them more often.

The Five Love Languages

I just read a book called The Five Love Languages. I think everyone should read this book. I do not think you should read it because it is the greatest book ever written. I think you should read it because you will gain insight into how you need to be loved.
According to the book the five love languages are words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. Everyone needs to receive their primary love language to feel loved. When you are shown love through your primary love language you will feel fulfilled. The book calls this keeping the love tank full. Most people show love with the language that they want to be loved.
Since we had the baby, I have not felt as loved as I have in the many years of our marriage. Every one tells me that is what happens when you have a child. But after reading this book I realized that my primary love language is quality time and since the baby we have not had that much quality time. I now understand why I have been feeling the way I have when Nathen has helped out more than he ever has in the past, which is not easy on him because I like things done a certian way and I have a problem with criticizing when things are not done my way. He has been doing more acts of service when what I need is quality time.
Another thing I learned is on receiving gifts. Before I read the book I did not understood women that need gifts from their husbands. Now I see that is how they feel loved if that is their primary love languge.
Nathen and I rearley do gifts between each other during the holidays. I have friends that feel unloved if they do not get presents. If Nathen does get me a present I am usually upset how much he spent on something. This is because receiving gifts is not one of my love languges.
I am going to show Nathen love through his primary love languge and see if it works like the book says. I think giving him love the way he needs will because it makes sense to me.
Thanks to the two people who talked about the love languages over cards. You made me love my husband more rathen than bash on him like most women.

Missing my family

My Parents and Paige in January.

Before I had Paige I would just hop in the car and visit my family whenever I missed them. Things have changed now. I have only seen my sister once and my parents twice since I had Paige. I hate that they live so far away.

I am lucky that Nathen's Parents and Robbie, Aaron, and Cole live so close. I wish Em and her boys lived closer too.

I am happy that Adriana moved back to Las Vegas and that we have so many amazing friends. They all make missing my family easier.

My friend Monica took these pictures. She takes amazing pictures. It is so nice to go to her house instead of going to a studio. I can feed the baby and change diapers in between pictures. We even took a time out for a nap when she did our family pictures.

The grossest thing ever happened after we took these pictures. We were looking at the pictures on Monica's computer and Paige kept coughing like something was stuck to the back of her throat. I decided to feed her in hopes that whatever was irritating her throat would be washed down. However, that did not work and after I fed her she continued to cough and everything she ate came up and went down my shoulder all over my front and back. I held her close to me so that as little as possible would get on Monica's floor. I had it running in my cleavage and butt crack. It was so gross, but I was more worried about her than caring about what was all over me. I did enjoy the shower I took when I got home. The joys of parent hood.

Paige is so quiet when we are around other people. A lot of people ask if she even makes noise. She likes to watch people. I also love to watch people. I catch myself staring at people and then I feel stupid when they notice.

I put this video on to show that she does make noise.

She likes to growl and she sounds really mean. I cannot get her to do it for the camera. Every time I get the camera out she stops growling.

Nathen and Paige were holding hands while they were sleeping. My flash did not work on the first picture and Paige let go of Nathen's hand while I was changing the settings on my camera. Then when I took this picture the flash woke Nathen up. He was not too happy with me, but it was so cute I had to have a picture.

Cousin Cole

Cole and Paige are both getting so big. Cole has been walking for a while now. He likes to push Paige around in her walker and in her stroller.

She got mad at him while she was in her walker and she followed him around the house yelling at him. I got her out of her walker and sat next to him and she was still yelling at him. I think she is going to be a bossy little girl. She comes by that naturally. I am a little too bossy.

I was worried about her being picked on since out of all her cousins she is the youngest, but I think she will be able to hold her own when she getts a little bigger.
